The Onyx platform

Every stage has a purpose.

Think of water treatment as a sequence of decisions: what to separate, what to retain, what to add—and how to verify the result.

From incoming water to a defined composition.

A useful water system begins with the water it will receive. Two locations can have different mineral content, disinfectant residuals and treatment needs. The best sequence is the one selected for those conditions and for the intended use.

Onyx brings together two complementary development families. Core focuses on separation and adsorptive media. Vital focuses on the composition and physical path of water after treatment. In an integrated machine, the membrane, postfilters, storage and dispensing circuit need to be considered together.

Onyx Core

A multistage approach lets different materials do different jobs. A prefilter can intercept suspended particles. Activated carbon brings a porous surface into contact with the water. A membrane creates a selective barrier. The final effect depends on the actual media, dimensions and operating conditions.

01

Capture

The first stage addresses particles and helps protect downstream components. Particle size and filter loading influence performance.

02

Select

The selective stage must be identified by its actual membrane technology. Reverse osmosis and an electrostatic filtration concept are different processes.

03

Matrix

Adsorptive media provide contact surfaces for specific dissolved compounds. Capacity and replacement intervals belong to the tested configuration.

Onyx Vital

Removing substances is only one part of designing the water experience. The next questions concern mineral composition, taste and the flow path. A postfilter is placed after the main separation stage, where its contribution can be measured at the outlet.

Vital is the development family for mineral media and the GeoField concept: helical flow paths and passive magnetic components. These are separate functions. Mineral release is assessed by chemical analysis; flow behavior by hydraulic measurements; magnetic effects by controlled comparisons.

A component is part of a system.

Pressure, temperature, contact time, seals and connections influence the final result. A good membrane cannot compensate for a bypass leak or an incorrectly maintained storage tank. This is why integration and maintenance belong in the same conversation as filtration.

Specifications should state the exact model, incoming water conditions, rated flow, service capacity and replacement procedure. Onyx development targets are not substitutes for a tested product data sheet.
